Our Mission 

The El Dorado Coalition for Overdose Prevention and Education (COPE) is a collaborative of
stakeholders from diverse community sectors partnering together to address substance use-
related issues that impact the wellness and safety of our community. The mission of COPE is to
elevate the health and safety of El Dorado County through interventions that address the harms
associated with substance use and promote a recovery-ready community.

The toolkit is a collection of easy‑to‑use resources that help families talk openly about the dangers of counterfeit pills and the presence of fentanyl in the drug supply. It focuses on awareness, prevention, and safety.
